iWaste Lifts the Jug at the 2026 Waste World Cup

Delighted to be Waste World Cup winners!

There was silverware to celebrate at iWaste, as our team came out on top at the 2026 Waste World Cup — the waste and recycling industry's premier sporting event.

Held at Beaconsfield Rugby Club in Buckinghamshire and organised by letsrecycle.com, the Waste World Cup pairs a full day of competitive mixed-gender six-a-side football with plenty of networking across the sector, sponsored this year by Smart Solutions.

It wasn't the smoothest of starts — three defeats and a draw in the group stage left the team with it all to do. But they dug deep in the knockout Jug competition, battling through the semi-final before edging a tense final 2-1 against OCO Tech to lift the trophy.

Representing iWaste were Ryan Waite (drivers' mate), Sam Mountain (director), Anna Webb (administrator), Summer Willoughby (sales admin), Tristian Bentley (secure operative) and Ethan Towse (recycling operative) — who all did the company proud.

Congratulations to the whole team on a brilliant comeback and a well-earned trophy!
